India is losing an entire generation to drug addiction. Every day, thousands of students — some as young as twelve — fall prey to substance abuse, destroying families, futures, and communities. Behind every headline is a parent who no longer recognizes their child, a teacher watching a brilliant mind fade, and a friend who feels powerless to help. The statistics are alarming, but the real tragedy lies in lost dreams, broken homes, and silent battles in classrooms and hostels. We refuse to accept this as normal.
MITHRAM, meaning “Friend,” fights back with purpose. Through Technology Clubs in schools and communities, we give students a reason to say no to drugs and yes to innovation. Instead of lectures, we provide tools — drones, electronics, and coding — turning idle time into discovery, peer pressure into mentorship, and despair into design. This is not just awareness; it is intervention with a future.
